Grab your flip flops and get ready to hit the beach, because it’s that time at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu

Start the day out with a luxurious breakfast spread at Cowrie restaurant. With pastries fresh from the oven, pancakes shaped into your favourite marine life, rich homemade jams, fluffy eggs, favourites from the orient such as congee, breakfast at Coco Palm is an affair in itself. Lull around the restaurant, and take a slow walk to the water sports centre to book some time on a SUP board. 

For the pros, our resort is located on an ideal island to paddle around and work some core muscles. For the beginners, no worries, because our water sports instructors are happy to spend some time with you on land to cover the basic techniques, safety and methods of handling a SUP board.

After somewhat of a hectic morning, the afternoon should be for lazing around. Don’t get us wrong, the resort itself is a haven for those who want to spend all day our on a sun lounger, or splashing around in the lagoon. But another gem awaits just a couple of minutes away, ready to entertain you with a picnic on its idyllic beach; the deserted island of Embudhoo. 

Owned by Coco Palm, this island is dedicated to our guests who are looking for that private Robinson-Crusoe escape. Home to a single traditional hut, you can enjoy the island exclusively to yourself and a loved one, or with family and friends. The beach has seen many proposals and fun picnics; and the stars many dreamers. What is luxury, but going back to nature and almost going back in time with just the basics? 

By the time you get back to Coco Palm, it’s time for a sundowner (or two! Hey, we’re on an island!) before dinner. And nothing screams summer like a beach barbecue. Set up on the large beach near Conch bar, our chefs are ready to grill up a feast! 

Accompanied by the waves grazing the shore and the smoky flavor of the grill, kick things off with flavourful starters such as Mediterranean seafood salads, vegetable spring rolls and seared lamb with minted yoghurt. Move onto the grilled mains, and don’t miss out on the lobster, prawns, reef fish, calamari and scampi. Dessert will tease your taste buds with cinnamon chocolate mousse, fruit tartlets, Maldivian coconut cake, fresh cut fruits and house made sorbets.  

As the evening draws to an end, and the stars come out to wish good night, it’s the end of another perfect day. From mornings in the calm lagoon, to deserted island adventures, to dreamy evenings on the beach, it’s always a blissful tropical day here.
