As the annual tradition continues, the island gathers around to have a stir, each making a wish for the year ahead while Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu checks off the first task of the Christmas celebration.

For this year’s Christmas Pudding preparations Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu added coconut, pineapple, and dried papaya as a tropical flair along with the classic additions of assorted dried fruits like nuts, raisins, sultanas, citrus peels, and other spices. And of course, these ingredients are soaked in the brandy, rum, and other fruit liquors for its rich flavours, before being baked into a cake-like dessert and stored till Christmas Eve – the high content of sugar and alcohol in the pudding helping to preserve it for a long period of time.

We are all excited for the big reveal as it is stored away to transform into something magical this festive season!
