A Festival of Colours

Mar, 27 2022

Earlier this month, we celebrated Holi at Coco Bodu Hithi. Also known as the Festival of Colours or the Festival of Love, Holi is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil.

The festival is known all over the world for its colourful and joyful spirit, with people throwing coloured powders known as gulal at each other. The colourful powders symbolise love and happiness and throwing the colours at one another represents unity as people leave behind any resentments and celebrate the joy of life together.

Our F&B team put together a wonderful evening of drinks and canapés for our guests to enjoy the Holi celebration. The price of entry? You had to cover yourself in the colourful powders first!

Of course, our wonderful guests took on the challenge with gusto, and soon several of our guests (and a few members of staff) were covered in a rainbow of colours.

Afterwards, our Chef team put together a delicious feast for dinner including traditional Indian sweets and snacks.

We hope you had a wonderful Holi celebration, and we look forward to the next Festival of Colours!
