Cooking Up A Storm at FHAM 2022

Our incredible culinary team at Coco Bodu Hithi recently took part in the Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives International Exhibition and Culinary Challenge, bringing home several awards as they showcased their amazing skills and artistry.

The FHAM Exhibition is an annual event that highlights the products and services of the hospitality industry, with this year’s exhibition seeing over 100 companies taking part.

Pastry Chef Buddhika made us proud by winning the Silver Medal in the Petits Fours / Pralines Challenge and the Bronze Medal in the Dress the Cake Challenge. Pastry Chef Nihal meanwhile won 3 Bronze Medals in Creative Bread Display, Artistic Pastry Showpiece, and Fruit & Vegetable Carving. Chef Nihal was also recognised as FHAM’s Most Outstanding Artist 2022!

Not to be outdone by their pastry colleagues, the chefs from the hot kitchens put on a stunning display at the exhibition with Chef Asiri winning the Silver Medal in the Beef – Hot Cooking Challenge. Chefs Nawodya and Prema meanwhile won Bronze Medals in the Appetisers (Hot/Cold) Challenge and the Plated Appetisers Challenge, respectively. Chefs Zaman and Rubin were recognised with their abilities with Certificates of Merit in the Lamb – Hot Cooking Challenge and the Plated Dishes Challenge respectively.
