Eid al-Adha: A Celebration Like No other!

This year, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu and Coco Bodu Hithi had the pleasure of celebrating the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha with our guests.

As one of the most important religious occasions in the Islamic calendar traditional celebrations with music, colour, dance, and parade have been a staple of Eid, here among the islanders.

Coco Bodu Hithi honoured this festival by bringing local traditions alive with an Eid special BBQ Lunch Buffet and a special Eid show, “Bodu Mas”, a cultural Maldivian dance and play telling the tale of a mythical fish and the brave fishermen that tried to catch it.

Over in Baa Atoll, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu celebrated Eid with Guests and Associates with a fun colourful party with High-tea. Meanwhile, Executive Chef of Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, Faiz Idrees, surprised everyone with a traditional Eid savoury recipe for everyone to enjoy during this Eid!

Even though customs and traditions have evolved through time, Eid al-Adha continues to be a symbol of the Maldives' tight-knit communities. It was undoubtedly an opportunity to get together and take part in lively celebrations that were brimming with enthusiasm and laughter!
