Coral Gardening

Nov, 27 2018

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu has been busy gardening…underwater!

After finding fragmented pieces of live coral on the seabed, we are then planting these fragments on to metal frames, in order to encourage coral regrowth. If these pieces of coral were to remain on the seabed, they would suffocate and would no longer be viable for regrowth.

The best part is, you can get involved in the coral planting process.

Sponsor a coral frame, have it personalised with a wooden name tag, and help our resident Marine Biologist to plant the coral fragments. These coral frames will go a long way towards helping to strengthen our house reef for years to come.
